Description›
Every Bukhara rug is built around the gul, a repeating oval medallion that has anchored this weaving tradition for generations. The discipline is in the repetition, dozens of these medallions, each one hand knotted, each one slightly its own.
This is the second and final 3' x 5' blue piece in this size and colorway, once it sells, the run is complete. Hand knotting a piece like this takes real time, thousands of individual knots, and no shortcuts that would let it be reproduced quickly.
