Welcome to TheQRugs
Free worldwide shipping on every order, with free rug padding
A small rug with a big personality, woven in the classic Afghan tribal diamond tradition.
Columns of rust red diamonds run the length of this kilim, framed by sage blue, deep navy and soft salmon on a warm ivory ground. Every color comes from natural plant based dyes, which is why the reds stay rich rather than harsh and the blues carry that slightly uneven depth you only get from vegetable pigment. Serrated edging and stepped borders give the whole piece the rhythm of traditional loom work.

About Our Work
Every rug we sell is made in house by weavers we work with directly. Nothing is mass produced and nothing is machine finished. Each piece carries small irregularities in line and tone, which is the honest signature of handwork.

How Your Rug Is Made
From raw wool to finished piece, every step is done by hand.
Wool Sourcing
Raw wool is selected for strength and softness before it ever touches a loom.
Spinning & Dyeing
The wool is hand-spun into yarn and colored using traditional dyeing methods.
Hand-Knotting
Artisans tie every knot by hand on a traditional loom, often over several weeks per rug.
Washing & Finishing
The finished piece is washed, trimmed, and finished by hand before it’s ready to ship.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this rug really one of a kind?›
Yes. Like every piece we carry, only one of this exists. Once it sells, it won’t be rewoven or restocked.
How much does the 3x5 Kilim Rug, Handmade cost?›
This piece is priced at $589.00, with free worldwide shipping included.
How long will delivery take?›
Most orders are processed in 1 to 2 business days and arrive 4 to 7 business days after that, so around 5 to 9 business days door to door, and shipping’s on us.
What if it’s not right for my space?›
You’ve got 30 days from delivery to send it back. We cover return shipping if it arrived damaged, wrong, or defective. Otherwise that part’s on you. Full details are in our refund policy.
How do I take care of a handmade wool rug like this?›
Vacuum it like you would any rug, keep it out of harsh direct sun for long stretches, and bring in a professional cleaner every so often. That’s really all it needs.
Can I order something custom, similar to this one?›
We can do that. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll work with you to create a custom piece in the same spirit as this one: 3x5 Kilim Rug, Handmade Wool Flatweave Accent Rug in Rust and Navy, Afghan Tribal Diamond Entryway Decor.
Do you work with designers or trade buyers?›
Yes. Reach out and we’ll talk pricing for wholesale or trade orders.
Which rooms would this rug work well in?›
This one works nicely in an office, hallway, living room, or dining room.
What’s the difference between a hand-knotted and a machine-made rug?›
A hand-knotted rug is woven knot by knot by an artisan, which is why no two are ever identical and why it can take weeks to complete one piece. A machine-made rug is manufactured in bulk from a repeating pattern. Hand-knotted rugs typically last much longer and hold their value better over time.
Do handmade wool rugs shed?›
Some shedding in the first few weeks is normal for wool rugs as loose fibers from the weaving process settle. It’s not a defect, and light regular vacuuming will reduce it quickly.
How long do hand-knotted rugs typically last?›
With proper care, a hand-knotted wool rug can last for generations. Many antique hand-knotted rugs are 50 to 100 years old or older and still in daily use, which is part of why they’re often treated as heirlooms rather than replaceable furnishings.
Do you ship internationally, including the UK, Canada, and Australia?›
Yes, we ship worldwide with free shipping included. International orders, including the UK, Canada, and Australia, may be subject to local customs duties on arrival.
